About Carly Harris
Welcome, I’m so glad you’re here.
About Carly: I imagine you have found yourself here because you are experiencing a relationship that is painful. Whether that is the relationship with your significant other, your child or maybe even the relationship with yourself – you do not have to walk through it alone. I would love to support you on your journey.
As a California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I offer couples, family and EMDR therapy sessions to support the treatment of relationship issues, life transitions and trauma. I find the most meaningful change stems from a safe therapeutic relationship that is collaborative and instills hope.
I value connection, authenticity, compassion, accountability and integrity.
What this looks like in my approach
I show up authentically and welcome you to do the same in order to create a meaningful connection that allows us to safely explore deep and sometimes painful topics. I believe the first step towards change is accountability that empowers you to create the life and relationships you desire. I also hold myself accountable to provide evidenced based and compassionate care with integrity, recognizing that you are trusting me with the most precious thing in life – your relationships.
TRAINING
After receiving a bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from Chapman University, I went on to complete a master’s degree in marital and family therapy at the University of San Diego. Both have equipped me with the education and experience to address all things involving relationships and communication. I am also trained in both Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Attachment Based Family Therapy (ABFT). My clinical experience spans various levels of care and settings (outpatient, residential treatment and private practice) treating trauma, anxiety, depression, suicidality, family issues, and marital conflict.
